The Parallax Pulse

Control the Bias.
See the Whole Picture.

Algorithms usually decide what you see.Parallax News puts you in control with an interactive slider to compare Left, Right, and Center perspectives.

What is a "Parallax"?

A single event can look drastically different depending on where you stand politically. To truly understand the world, you must view it from multiple angles.

We applied the concept of parallax—seeing an object differently from different lines of sight—to journalism, helping you uncover the full reality behind the headlines.

?About the Project

In today's digital landscape, social media and search engines are designed to optimize for engagement, often confirming our existing beliefs. This creates "filter bubbles"—separate realities where we only see facts and opinions that align with our worldview.

Parallax News is a tool designed to break these bubbles. By aggregating headlines from across the political spectrum, we allow you to see how the same story is framed by the Left, Center, and Right.

How to Navigate

  • Range Slider: Drag the Left handle and Right handle to create a custom view.
  • Specific Bias: Bring both handles together to view a single perspective (e.g., just "Left" or just "Center").
  • All Sides: Drag the handles to the far ends (left and right) to see the full spectrum side-by-side.

How Categories Are Assigned

Our categorization methodology is informed by the research of non-partisan media watchdogs, primarily the Ad Fontes Media Bias Chart and AllSides.

  • Left / Far Left: Sources that prioritize progressive viewpoints (e.g., Democracy Now!, Jacobin, CNN, Vox, Huffington Post).
  • Center: Sources that aim for neutral, fact-based reporting (e.g., Reuters, BBC, NPR, The Hill, WSJ News).
  • Right / Far Right: Sources that prioritize conservative viewpoints (e.g., Fox News, NY Post, Washington Times, The Federalist, Breitbart).

The Parallax Pulse

Beyond the live interactive feed, we offer The Parallax Pulse—an automated, AI-driven daily briefing. Every 24 hours, our AI analyzes the top viral stories from the Left and Right, alongside the High Consensus stories covered by everyone. It synthesizes this intelligence into a single, objective report, revealing not just what happened, but how different echo chambers framed reality.

Parallax News uses AI to aggregate how different media bubbles cover the same world.
